Hi, my name is Wesley. I'm a Digital Media 1 student and current Junior. So far this year I've learned quite a lot about computer design and the techniques required to make an interesting work of art. However, it hasn't always been easy. When first starting out in Adobe Software such as; Illustrator and Photoshop it was easy to get lost in the sea of options, controls, and layers. Even today I sometimes manage to drown in the drop down menus looking for a single option or the perfect swatch for my piece. Nevertheless, I can say with confidence that I know my capabilities drawing and illustrating on a computer.
Starting out this year I had no knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Affects, and just minimal skills in Photoshop, now I have a grasp on all of those programs. Its amazing, the capabilities of such software, being able to do so much with such ease is mind blowing even after using the programs for about 9 months. The tools and experience I have gained from this class is just amazing and I would urge anyone with an open schedule to, at least, try the course. It may be daunting at first, being up against so many different menus; layers, software, programs, drop-downs, and tools, but after a while you really get the hang of it.
The goal of my website is to not just share my portfolio, but also to give an insight to some of the creative ability the software gives it's users. If you like what I have done then just know its not hard to make. Anyone can pick-up a mouse and keyboard and start messing around. After a while, you'll probably find what you can create is far beyond what you expected. Thanks for browsing and thanks for reading.
